I love cover versions. Especially ones that do something new and original with an old favourite. I think the intro is the best bit of this cover, by Laibach, of “Sympathy For The Devil”, and perhaps it runs out of steam before the end, but I still like it, and it makes me smile.
And, as you probably know, today is the 50th anniversary of the band’s first ever gig. Happy 50th first gig anniversary The Rolling Stones. Here’s to the next 50 years.
